Full Moon Hike
All Mountain Co and Boschendal Hospitality invite you to a special April Full Moon Hike before we settle in for winter. To accommodate hikers from the cancelled March Full Moon Hike we will host three Full Moon Hikes in April.
Join Us on One, or All of Three Editions of the Magical Full Moon Hike at Boschendal
on Saturday, 12 April at 16:30, Sunday, 13 April, at 17:00 and Monday, 14 April at 17:30 we’ll gather near The Retreat @ Boschendal (opposite the Pniel road from Boschendal Village) to embark on a serene 4km hike. This easy-to-moderate hike leads up to a breath-taking viewpoint where we’ll watch the sunset and full moon rise.
Finish the evening with a delightful stroll down the fairy trail back to the meeting point.
Experience the beauty of vineyards and moonlit mountain trails—it’s a night you won’t forget!
Full Moon Schedule for April 2025: (please note the different starting times)
- Saturday, 12 April 2025 at 16:30 – Moon rise expected around 18:10 (waxing 99% full)
- Sunday, 13 April 2025 at 17:00 – Moon rise expected around 18:40 (100% full)
- Monday, 14 April 2025 at 17:30 – Moon rise expected around 19:10 (waning 99.1% full)
Please dress in appropriate hiking apparel and shoes, with a windbreaker, so you are comfortable at the lookout point where we will wait for the moon to rise
The outing takes up to 4 hours and we descend well after sunset – please remember your headlamp/torch.
Full moon hikes are limited to the first 120 hikers per event, so please enter early to avoid disappointment.

Enter your TEAM of more than 4 hikers and receive a R20 discount per hiker – R150 (4+)
Pensioners receive an automatic R20 discount – R150
Children under 14 hike for FREE
What to bring
- Headlamp (Compulsory) for the hike
- A windbreaker and a beanie are well advised.
- Snacks and water. A selection of Boschendal wines can be booked and collected at the Viewpoint
- Your hike/wine cup/glass
